Covid-19 and Nutrition
Many of us have had time to reflect recently on what is most important in our lives and suddenly that new car seems insignificant if we have chronic health or obesity issues that can have a profound effect should we catch coronavirus. Even those seemingly fit, healthy, 50-year-old men have had a scare…
Good nutrition and staying hydrated
Are vital to optimise our health at all times but are more important than ever just now. People who eat a well-balanced diet tend to be healthier with stronger immune systems and have a lower risk of chronic illnesses and infectious diseases.
We are acutely aware that for some, just providing basic food and shelter for themselves or family have become a day to day reality and in that regard, at Nutripanda, we are committed to helping our community food banks.
For those more fortunate, some have had time to go back to basics and cook like their grandmothers used to, perhaps even trying a hand at growing herbs and vegetables in the garden. We are loving our daily fresh mint tea and home-grown rocket, chive and fennel salads.
We have always been passionate about good food being a priority to aid our healthspan. Though one person’s healthy diet will not necessarily suit the next as we all have such different metabolic systems. For example, we often espouse the benefits of garlic but we stopped one client’s stomach cramps after 17 years by testing her at the clinic and finding that she is intolerant to garlic. She is one happy lady!
