DNA Test

Our gold standard Microarray DNA test assesses for 190 different genes, and over 250 related single nucleotide polymorphisms, to determine your genetic predisposition to various aspects of your health and well-being. 
 
It provides insights into how the unique genetic makeup of each individual may influence their risk to certain conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, gluten sensitivity, detoxification processes, and their response to certain lifestyle choices, such as diet, exercise, sleep patterns, stress management and so much more.
 
With this DNA test we will learn about your genetic makeup, allowing us to provide personalised information about your health, risk factors, and other traits. 
 
By understanding these elements better, we will be able to support your health by implementing lifestyle changes such as food choices, exercise, stress reduction and other aspects that will counteract the effect of your genes.
 
How does it work?
 
Come along to our practice in Edinburgh. We will need 10 minutes of your time to collect a sample of your saliva via buccal swab. The results will be available in a few weeks.

This fee includes a 1-hour session with our Nutritional Consultant, Dr Gregorio Torchia to discuss the results and to offer you general dietary recommendations.
