Turmeric Latte – East meets West

The West has embraced turmeric in the last ten years or so and we have hailed it as a superfood, adding powdered or fresh turmeric to cold shakes and warm teas and coffee.


This magically oriental, soothing turmeric latte will warm your body from within and is a perfect tonic to enable our bodies to embrace the change of seasons in Spring or Autumn.

Ingredients:

300ml plant milk of your choice

Small piece of fresh curcumin (alternatively ½ tsp of turmeric powder)

Small piece of fresh ginger

¼ tsp of coconut oil

½ tsp of cinnamon

½ tsp of honey or maple syrup


Combine all ingredients apart from the honey in a blender and blend until creamy. Briefly heat up the mixture and let it simmer on a very low flame for 5 min. Add the honey before serving. To reach a creamy consistency, you can prepare the drink in a milk frother.


You can drink the turmeric milk on its own or aside with our delicious pecan cookies.
