Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME) is a persistent and often debilitating tiredness that can severely impact your life.

While there's no one-size-fits-all solution, research and experience suggest that diet can play a crucial role in managing chronic fatigue and improving overall wellbeing.

A balanced, nutrient-rich diet supports energy production, immune function, and gut health—all vital for those living with chronic fatigue. Start by cutting down on sugar and processed foods, which can cause energy spikes followed by crashes. Instead, opt for complex carbohydrates like oats, brown rice, and sweet potatoes that release energy slowly throughout the day.

Protein is another key player. Incorporating lean sources like fish, eggs, lentils, and nuts can help maintain muscle strength and stabilise blood sugar levels. Don’t forget healthy fats from sources like avocados, olive oil, and oily fish, which support brain function and reduce inflammation.

Hydration is often overlooked. Even mild dehydration can worsen fatigue symptoms, so aim for around 6–8 glasses of water a day.

Some people with chronic fatigue will also benefit from identifying and avoiding food sensitivities, such as yeast or dairy. We can test you for Food Intolerances and Food & Environmental Allergies and will tailor a diet plan to suit your individual needs.

We did just this for a young client and she had this to say in a recent testimonial:

I came to Nutripanda six months ago to explore how nutrition could be part of my recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) – alongside rest and pacing. Gregorio gave me a delicious, varied and very colourful diet plan which gave me lots to look forward to in the day. Within 2 weeks of starting the diet, my energy was more steady thorough the day, my sleep and skin improved, appetite increased and nausea disappeared. Since then I have slowly built up my energy and strength (and continue to do so) and just feel generally better in all ways. Having someone behind me with such knowledge and positivity has given me the mental boost I needed to feel assured recovery is possible. I would definitely recommend Gregorio and his team to anyone who is looking to boost their recovery – its so helpful having a professional who genuinely cares about the outcome as a constant resource.
